Introduction to Email Automation

Email automation is a powerful marketing tool that allows businesses to send personalized emails. It enables companies to deliver the right message at the right time, ensuring each recipient’s content is relevant and timely.

In this article, we will drop some ‘alpha’ on how the Outscraper Sales Team is using its own software to generate leads and personalize automatized outreach.

First of all, every business needs to identify its ICP (Ideal Customer Profile). Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) is a description of the perfect customer for a business. In simple terms, it is like a guide that helps companies figure out who would benefit most from their products or services.

Contrasts Between Client’s Perspectives and What Users Experience

In some businesses there is a huge contrasts between the client’s perspectives and what the users really experience. Clients see their product as flawless, while users experience it as messy. Client is the tool while the user is the person who uses the tool.

Our Use Case

One of Outscraper’s ICPs are lead generation company (the Standard Google Maps category for such, is a Marketing Agency). Right now, we’re reaching out to Canadian companies.

Therefore, to find all Canadian businesses for a specified category one needs to launch a corresponding task (see screenshot). Outscraper will try to extract up to 3 employees’ emails and phone numbers by using Google Maps Scraper.

After getting the results, I filter out invalid Emails by auto-filtering only the ones with Validator Status “Receiving” or “Unknown.” Then I select the column with the 1st emails, 1st names, and a proper company name (name_for_emails):

Please, also take into account that the screenshot below shows only one example of A/B testing and such a direct style may not be suitable in your specific use case.

Now I have 3 variables to personalize my message for prospects. In the subject line, I put a Location (country, state, county, city, etc.) variable. For a greeting, I use 1st Name but without coma, so it doesn’t look like “Hello,” in some cases. Finally, I use the company’s name when asking a question.

Email automation is important because it’s a tool that helps businesses save time by automatically sending messages to their customers.
